Environmental impact of our eco-responsible yarns

Less occupied land

With recycled clothes, we no longer need to grow virgin cotton.

Less waste

With recycled clothes, the quantity of waste destined for landfills and incinerators is reduced.

Less energy

Needs are much lower than conventional cotton or wool

Less water consumption

Up to 91% less than that required for conventional cotton cultivation. With a water recycling system, water savings are even greater.

Less chemical products

Less or no more agricultural operations at all, so, less chemicals.

Less greenhouse gas emissions

With recycled clothing, methane emissions related to landfill decomposition and synthetic agrochemical use are avoided

More biodiversity

In sheep farms, or in organic cotton fields, the absence of fertilizer helps to keep fauna and flora intact.

Our recycling process:

We use two resources of materials for recycling in our yarns, post-consumers jeans and post-consumers bottles. So two recycling systems had to be set up. One for jeans, one for bottles.

Our organic cotton process

We work with GOTS certified partners. They prefer natural processes to chemicals. The water released into the natural environment is clean, and because they work less on the land, it retains water better. Last but not least, with GOTS, working conditions in the fields and workshops are decent. And when we dye the yarn, we are commited the same rigor using only the dyes authorized by the label.

To give you an idea, organic cotton cultivation requires up to 91% less water than conventional cotton. And soil and water acidification is up to 70% lower.

Our organic cotton is grown and spun in India. The dyeing is done at our factory in Tourcoing

Our organic wool process:

We work with GOTS certified partners. They prefer natural processes to chemicals. Sheep are well taken care of: large green spaces in the open air; prohibition of mulesing, fast and respectful medical treatments,… Last but not least, with GOTS, working conditions in the fields and workshops are decent. And when we dye the yarn, we are commited to the same rigor using only the dyes authorized by the label.

Our organic wool comes from sheep raised in Argentina, Uruguay, South Africa or Australia. The dyeing is done at our factory in Tourcoing.
